Me and my family came here for the first time and we liked it a lot. My husband woke up that day craving good BBQ and he was very pleased with this place. The food was on point, we order the Texas Trio which comes with a 1lb of brisket, a full rack of ribs and 1lb of their homemade sausage (we ordered the mild one because of the kids but loved it, it has a great smoky flavor and stil a bit of spice) the meat supper tender and juicy (not dry!) full of that delicious smoky flavor, plus you get to pick out of three bbq sauces (we personally liked the tangy one). Our plate came with 3 sides, we ordered mac & cheese (made with real cheese, you can see the cheese strings when serving), bbq beans which were my favorite, and collard greens. I also got to try the potato salad and coleslaw and they were pretty good too. Then it also came with 6 slices of milk bread, nothing special about it in my opinion, but we were there for the bbq lol. Costumer service was great, which good costumer service is a must for me to come back, they were very patient and polite. This place is a gem! Randomly stumbled upon it looking for BBQ in the neighborhood and couldn’t be more happy. The atmosphere is extremely authentic and feels homey and down to earth. Jeremy the owner was enthusiastic and welcoming and warm. The staff was equally as hospitable. The main attraction being the food… Amazing. Traditional American portions that leave you feeling happily fed. Will definitely be coming back.

I went in late on Sunday (4pm) for my first visit so that's on me and I want to start off saying I was at Pinkerton's short after its opened in Houston this past week so I know what really good brisket is like. From Smoke & Meat I got a half pound of burnt ends and a small side if hot bbq sauce. For the brisket it having been wrapped and under a heat lamp I assume most of the day it wasn't hot but it certainly was not room temperature either. I'm not a huge fan if burnt ends to begin with either but they were incredibly smokey, almost too much! The bark (crust) was rather thick and had a brilliant texture difference with the fatty and lean portions of the brisket's burnt ends Smoke ring is present for sure but I sure tasted it more. The hot BBQ sauce I tired a couple of times but it was just over powering the smoked brunt ends with a powerful, frontal hit of tomato sauce. I don't know where else around Stockton to get Southern texas style bbq. But I'll be honest here if this is what we have to start with the future could be very bright. First time here and they were out of everything but turkey, lamb shank, and pork belly. Got themat with the collards and Mac and was not disappointed. Best turkey i have ever had in a bbq setting. Have to get there early to get brisket and sausages.

After my two sons finished their Jiu-Jitsu tournament, we chose Smoke & Meat BBQ in Stockton, CA to celebrate, and it turned out to be the perfect place. From the moment we walked in, the atmosphere felt warm, welcoming, and full of authentic BBQ charm, setting the tone for an unforgettable meal. The Texas Trio was the highlight of our visit and absolutely blew us away. It came with three sausages of our choice, a full rack of ribs, brisket, and three sides, a huge portion packed with incredible flavor. The ribs were tender with that ideal smoky pull, the brisket was juicy with a beautiful smoke ring and perfect seasoning, and the sausages were hearty and delicious. The sides were just as impressive! the mac and cheese instantly became the kids’ favorite, and the pickled onions and pickles added the perfect bright, tangy contrast that balanced the richness of the meats. Every bite showed clear attention to quality and authentic slow-smoked flavor. The service was one of the most memorable parts of our visit. The staff treated us with genuine kindness and made us feel like family from the moment we walked in. They interacted with the kids, made conversation, and created a relaxed
